DWE Site Council Call for Nominations

Hello, DWE Families and Community,

Each of our Vail Schools has a “Site Based Council.” The purpose of this council is to operate as a principal’s advisory committee. Our DWE site council consists of the following elected members: four parents/community members, two certified faculty members, and one classified support staff member. Each elected member serves a two-year term.

Our Site Council meetings are held monthly in the CAVE Conference Room beginning at 4pm and generally ending around 5:30pm. The 24/25 meeting dates are: August 19th, September 17th, October 21st, November 18th, December 16th, January 27th, February 24th, April 28th, and May 12th.

The monthly meetings are formal and follow a specific agenda. Some topics that are covered include staffing, enrollment, goal setting, PBIS and discipline data, etc. Involvement in Site Council is a great way to be involved and to build relationships with other DWE community members. 

For the 24/25 school year we have two open parent/community member seats. If you would like to make a nomination for yourself or a fellow DWE community member, please submit the nominee’s name, contact information, and brief bio (3-4 sentences) via email to all three of the following email addresses:

Nominations can be submitted now through Tuesday, July 16th at 5pm. If we receive more than two nominations we will conduct an electronic vote.
