Dear Mesquite Families:

Welcome to the start of another great school year at Mesquite Elementary. We know this kind of pandemic year is not something we signed up for, but with innovation and resilience, we will thrive. It’s going to be different, and it’s going to be okay.

The Mesquite Elementary PTSA is looking forward to providing enjoyable and enriching programs and activities for the students and families at Mesquite. We are excited to offer Virtual Blast, an online party for our students and teachers. We are glad to provide RazKids access for all students to work on their reading. We offer grants to the teachers to fund classroom activities. We’re still thinking about fundraising ideas and book fairs, and maybe even getting back to normal activities in the spring, like Grandparents’ Day and Last Blast. We would love to hear your ideas about how to support the children and staff, and bring our community together.

Volunteering and becoming involved will benefit your child, his or her classmates, and the community. Join Mesquite PTSA to meet new people, and learn about school happenings for the year. Your membership in PTSA can be whatever you want it to be.

With your support, we can continue to make Mesquite a School of Excellence for our children. Mesquite Elementary School is a community based on vibrant parent involvement. Your contribution, whether it is your time, knowledge, or resources make a difference. We invite you to become an involved member at Mesquite because “at the end of the day, the most overwhelming key to success is the positive involvement of parents” (Jane D. Hull)

We look forward to getting to know your family. We hope you will join us for our PTSA meetings beginning with our first meeting.  Everyone will have the opportunity to join the PTSA, sign up to be a volunteer, talk to our committee chairs, learn about the events the PTA has planned, and much more. You can follow us on Facebook to hear about up to date events.

On behalf of the PTSA Executive Board and all the volunteers, we wish everyone a very productive year ahead and look forward to your continued support. Questions and suggestions are always welcome at
